"The spirit of the tea ceremony is
"Wa-kei-sei-jyaku"
"Wa-kei-sei-jyaku" is the basic idea of tea ceremony,
"Wa" means "peace" and also it is to harmonizes people with nature,
people with things, as well as people with people. "Kei" means respect. When we
respect all things around us as well as other people. We feel comfortable. "Sei"
means "clear mind", which is important for us. "Jyaku" represents
"wabi" and "sabi" which is the principle of beauty conscious ceremony.
"Wabi" means the refinement found in rusticity and "sabi" means the
beauty wity age. This is based on the idea of Zen. (Hämtat från Chado, the way of tea. ) |
