The Hawaiian Snow Statue - Drum of Peace

Centered in the carving is a symbol of Kanui's Drum of Peace, The Pa'u drum. The pa'u drum is a major contribution to the Hawaiian culture from the Prince Mo'ikeha, the second son of the King of Kaumualii, King of Kauai. During his era , Kauai enjoyed many years in peace and harmony. Protecting the symbol of peace are four kahili bearers. in honor of Kauai's Prince of Peace, the county of Kauai named it's new County building Mo'ikeha. Kauai is the northernmost island of the Hawaiian Islands chain.
